Religious

We can arrange funerals for families of all cultures, faiths and religions.
Religious funerals are presided over by a minister or religious leader, and are an entirely appropriate way to say a final farewell to someone of faith. Readings and hymns form an integral part of the service, held in a church or other place of worship.

Generally, the priest, minister or religious leader, will take the lead role in organising the specifics of the actual funeral service. They will do their best to accommodate any special wishes of the family or deceased, and advise on how they can be incorporated into the service wherever possible.

Non-Religious (frequently referred to as 'Humanist')

We can also organise Humanist services which do not include any reference to religious concepts. Whatever your requirements, we can make all the necessary arrangements. The officiant at this form of service can be anyone, however we can secure the services of specialist Humanist practitioners if required.

Humanist funerals are not conducted at places of worship, and are generally held at a crematorium, Funeral Home, other place or the burial ground. The service is uniquely arranged in accordance with the wishes of the person who has died, or the family, allowing their life to be celebrated as they would want it. Humanist ceremonies are becoming more and more prevalent (there were an estimated 40,000 in Britain in 2009, 10,000 more than in 2006). This form of service can be the ideal way to celebrate the life of someone non-religious or agnostic.
